Ayutthaya

Ayutthaya was once the capital of the Kingdom of Thailand for many centuries, from 1350 to 1767. In its heyday, Thai culture flourished and developed into a series of commercial activities, and there were many foreign merchants in the former capital of Ayutthaya Thailand established, including from the Netherlands, Portugal, France, Engand, Japan, etc. to foreign visitors were most impressed by the extraordinary beauty of the city. The Burmese invaders attacked the capital of Ayutthaya in 1767 and destroyed the beautiful buildings. Most of the temples of the city and religious sculptures were also destroyed. However, the Thai people are proud to be able to restore some sites, and thus give the visitors some of the time to be able to shine. Ayutthaya is located approximately 90 kilometres from Bangkok and could be visited without problems on an extended day trip. However, if you wish to visit a little more and more extensively, the Thai history and ancient monuments, so one night would be recommended over two full days.
